Hunting:  One down, one to go! 
 
The wife, grandkids and I ventured south of the US Dam Road down into the Mud Lake Bottom this afternoon about 3:45PM. I drove over to a spot south of a patch of willows. These willows are about 50 yards at the thickest north to south, and about a quarter mile east to west. We set up next to a tree a couple hundred yards south of the willows towards the west end. Fishing:  I left the house this morning at about 7:30 to do a service call.  It didn't take long and I headed for one of my favorite spots on the Little Piney where I met two friends.  Today was the day to be on the Little Piney....and for me even more so because I was the only one catching fish!!!!!  Talk about wonder of wonders!  There was quite a few people there, 6-8, and no one was catching much but me.  I was the only one using a fly rod.  Just goes to show it all depends on.......(more)


Shooting:  Now here is a muzzleloader!  Mid-1700's Jaeger built by Dr. Gary White of Roosevelt, Utah.  Incise carved cherry stock and engraved brass with lion motiff.  Engraved top barrel flat with with scroll and signature in script.  54 cal., Colrain barrel, L&R flintlock and DST.  Jute Jaeger sling from Track of the Wolf.  After about 100 rounds the doggone Colrain barrel finally came into its own and started.......(more)
